SUMMARY:Annual Training Forum
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe BCSTH Annual Training Forum (ATF) is host to over 300 anti-violence workers who support women\, youth and children in a variety of capacities\, including Transition\, Second and Third Stage Houses\, Safe Homes\, Long Term Housing\, as well as Prevention\, Education\, Advocacy\, Counselling and Empowerment (PEACE) and Violence is Preventable (VIP) programs\, as support workers\, counsellors\, program managers and executive directors. \nIn a continuation of our ongoing theme of Strength in Solidarity\, this year’s theme is Weaving Communities and Generations. The theme of Weaving Communities and Generations is reflected in our honouring with our members the dynamic work of the  Cedar Blankets Project building  culturally safe wraparound supports for Indigenous women and their children accessing non-Indigenous transition houses and safe homes and celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Violence is Preventable (VIP) school based prevention and awareness program delivered by PEACE Program counsellors. BCSTH is hoping to explore with our community innovative approaches to weaving prevention and culturally relevant supports for women\, children and youth with experiences of violence to build safe communities for all and a vibrant future for generations here and yet to arrive. \nMore information can be found on the ATF website. \nREGSITER HERE!
