DESCRIPTION:BBM Webinar 2: Beyond Bricks and Mortar: The Residential Tenancy Act from a Women-Centred Lens \nBCSTH has received funding to provide a free webinar series which will highlight women-centred operational practices that are violence and trauma-informed. These webinars have been curated based on a survey and focus groups with anti-violence members and aim to meet the expressed training needs of BCSTH members. \nJoin us to discuss operating Long-Term housing under the Residential Tenancy Act for women with experiences of violence. Based on feedback from BCSTH members\, this webinar will include both a Residential Tenancy Act lawyer\, Samantha Douglas of Haddock and Company as well as Katie Suen of Campbell River & North Island Transition Society which operates both Second Stage and Long-Term housing and will shed light on lessons learned offering both models. \n*This webinar is open to members only.
